TROUP 1

About Troop 1
Troop 1 was established in 1923 along with four other troops in Jefferson City. Troop 1 is part of the Five Rivers District in the Great Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America

Boy Scout Oath: 
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country, to obey the Scout Law, to help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Boy Scout Law: 
A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

Meetings
Troop 1 meets every Monday night during the school year from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the basement fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church. If the public schools do not have classes on Monday then Troop 1 does not meet.

Registration
Troop 1 charters with the Great Rivers Council in January
Annual registration fees for each boy are: $10 Council registration, $9 Boys Life subscription (optional), $10 Troop dues, $10 Adult Registration

Troop Leadership
Troop 1 is a youth run organization with troop elections every 6 months.
