Minutes from Unit Meeting

Opening

Following a 10:00 a.m. food and fellowship time hosted by Naomi Circle, President Juanita Rampy called to order the December Unit Meeting of JC FUMC UMW on December 7, in Room 107. Twenty five members were present.

Juanita introduced Mabel Unser, UMW Conference President.

Reading of the UMW Purpose was led by Edith Noll. Louise Schreiber accompanied as members sang “O Come All Ye Faithful.” Louise referred to the Prayer Calendar in the meditation.

June Glaser presented the Response Moment. Dorothy Williams was honored with UMW Membership Pin presented by June Glaser.

Ann Toebben led the singing of “When Christmas Morn is Dawning,” which went along with the theme for Mabel Unser’s program and installation of officers.

Mabel installed the 2012 unit officers and presented the program, a DVD of Mission of UMW. Mabel was given a Mission Ribbon.

Business Meeting

Minutes and Treasurer’s reports were submitted and approved.

There was no old business.

New business included 2012 budget approval.

Gail Wekenborg reported she needed helpers for Dec. 21^st to set up for Communion.

Janet Hofstetter, Program Resources Chair, announced that Reading Reports were due that day. She had forms available.

Announcements

Jan. 21st is the date for officer’s training hosted by JC First UMC UMW. Desserts and muffins are needed.
