United Methodist Women's Reading Plans

Four Reading Program Plans

Plan I

·       Read four books each year.

·       Read one book from each of the 4 original categories.  New “Leadership Development” category books count in the other 4 categories.

·       Select books from the current year and/or the past five years' reading lists,* including youth books. Do not include books read in previous year.

·       Regularly read Response.

Plan II

·       Read 10 books each year.

·       Read at least two books from each of the 4 original categories.  New “Leadership Development” category books count in the other 4 categories.

·       Select books from the current year and/or the past five years' reading lists,* including youth books. Do not include books read in previous years.

·       Regularly read Response and New World Outlook.

Plan III

·       Read 15 books each year.

·       Read 10 books with at least two books from each of the 4 original categories.  New “Leadership Development” category books count in the other 4 categories.

·       Read five additional books from any category.

·       Select books from the current year and/or the past five years' reading lists,* including youth and children's books. Do not include books read in previous years.

·       Regularly read Response and New World Outlook.

Plan IV

·       Read 20 books each year.

·       Read 10 books with at least two books from each of the 4 original categories.  New “Leadership Development” category books count in the other 4 categories.

·       Read 10 additional books from any category.

·       Select books from the current year and/or the past five years' reading lists,* including youth and children's books. Do not include books read in previous years.

·       Regularly read Response and New World Outlook.

·       Read books not on the reading lists but reviewed in Response and New World Outlook.

·     Each One Read One  

 

·     Plan 1, 2, 3, or 4
