Music plays an integral role in the worship experiences at First United Methodist Church. We have an active and varied Music Ministry that provides many opportunities for all ages to participate. By becoming involved in the Music Ministry, you may experience both the joy of music and the joy of service as you use your talents for God's glory. Our ministry strives to express the love of God through music.
Everyone is welcome to be a part of this ministry!

We present a sketch or dramatic scripture reading about once a month during the worship service.
Jesus often told stories (parables) to teach, because people can often relate more to a story and remember it better than other information. Using a wider variety of teaching methods allows more people to understand the Good News in different ways.
You can be an ACTOR.
Sketches are usually short and sweet. You generally only need to learn a few lines, if any. No acting experience is needed.
You can be a WRITER/PLANNER.
Help put the sketches together on paper and make sure that we are conveying the right idea in the best way.
You can be a PROPS/COSTUME PERSON
Most sketches require few if any props or costumes, but occasionally, a special costume or prop is needed.
No special gifts, talents or experience is necessary to participate in this ministry. You just need a willingness to "act up for God" and spread his message.
