Staff Parish Relations Committee

The Staff Parish Relations Committee’s role is to strengthen, nurture, and support the pastors, staff and their families and to promote unity within the church. The committee also recommends to the church council, after consultation with the pastors, the professional and other staff positions needed to carry out the work of the church.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing, maintaining and supervising all local church property. In addition, the Trustees report annually to the charge conference on the state of the church's property, equipment, investments, and resources.

Committee on Lay Leadership

The charge of this committee is to identify, develop, deploy, evaluate and monitor Christian spiritual leadership for the congregation. The committee recommends to the charge conference, at its annual session, the names of people to serve as officers and leaders of designated ministries and required committees of the church.

Committee on Finance

The Finance Committee is responsible for compiling an annual budget and to be submitted to the church council for review and adoption. The committee monitors income at regular meetings and takes necessary steps to administer funds according to the budget and available income.

Parsonage Committee

Church Council

Provides for planning and implementing a program of nurture, outreach, witness and resources in the church. It also provides for the administration of the church's organization. The committee plans, implements and evaluates the mission and ministry of the church.

First United Methodist Foundation

The foundation was created to receive specially designated gifts and disburse, in the form of grants, scholarships and other awards, the proceeds of those gifts in support of the mission and ministry of the church. The sole purpose of the foundation is to support the ministry of First United Methodist Church.

Stewardship Committee

This committee has the responsibility of developing and implementing plans that will raise sufficient income to meet the budget adopted by the church council and to communicate with the congregation the connection between giving and spirituality.
