Babies and Toddlers

Nursery care is available for all children 3 years old and younger during all the Sunday morning worship services from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.

Located on the main level, second floor, on the south side of the Carson Building. In the nursery we use the Quiet Call Nursery Paging system. This system loans parents a vibrating pager which discretely lets them know if they are needed in the nursery. Pagers are returned when children are picked up.

Children's Church/Children's Moments

Children are welcome in any worship service! Children's packets are available at the entrance to each service filled with activities to keep little hands busy. You will also find Children's Moments every other Sunday during the service for children to come forward and hear a lesson just for them. On alternating Sundays, Children's Church is held in the Chapel. Children will be dismissed from the worship service after the prayer time in the 8:30 and 10:50 services. Children learn about the scripture of the day through storytelling, games and crafts. Children are returned to worship before Communion at 8:30 a.m.  At 10:50 a.m. children are picked up in the Chapel after the service is over.

Discover Zone Sunday School

9:45a.m. Discovery Zone Sunday School

All children gather in Discovery Zone Central at 9:45a.m., then at 10:00a.m. break into age group classrooms for a Live B.I.G. (Belief In God) experience!

We are getting ready for the Spring Logos Semester!

Dates are February 4 - April 29

If you would like to register your child for the Spring term, please call the church office at 635-6886.

 

5:15 - 5:45p.m. Worship Skills

Children are grouped by ages and learn songs, bells, drumming, banner making, and worship leadership.

5:45 - 6:30p.m. Dinner

Children are grouped by families at dinner tables. Table Parents encourage manners, serving one another and cleaning their plates!

6:30 - 7:00p.m. Recreation Time

Non-competitive games to run off energy and have fun!

7:00 - 7:30p.m. Bible Time

Children are grouped by age/grade to end the evening with a Bible story.

Each child is surrounded by love and care for the evening by a multitude of volunteers for the sake of teaching them the Word (the Logos) of God.

 

Eight Flaming Fingers Puppet Ministry

5th grade through 12th grade

Puppeteers learn to perform the stories of our faith through characters and music. The Puppet Troup travels to perform in Nursing Homes and for children's groups. They also participate in competitions each year.

Practice on Sundays 4:00 p.m. on the Upper Level Discovery Zone - Room 312 

Special Events

Music, Art & Drama (MAD) Camp

Held in the early summer.  Children audition, rehearse and perform a musical program in just 4 days!
For Children going in to 1st through 7th grades

Vacation Bible School

Held mid-summer.
Children Pre-K through 5th grade

 

Ecumenical Vacation Bible School

In partnership with First Presbyterian Church at their camp Covenant Point in Holts Summit. This is a Day Camp filled with music, storytelling, crafts and swimming!
For Children who will be in 1st through 5th grades

Cost is $50 per student
